When I saw this article, my first thought was what part of the human brain controls evil thoughts? I think that that part would also hold other personality traits that are important to humans. So it could be very bad to use if it were real.

I think that if the gadgets the hero had are real, that eventually his method for turning people into decent citizens, and his method will be used around the world and possibly resulting in bad side affects.

As Josh said, the part of the human brain that controls our evil thoughts or evil behavior, probably contains things that are very important to us. So, if this was real it might damage a human brain and would change a person a lot. I think that maybe in the future they will be able to figure out a efficient, SAFE way to prevent criminal behavior. When or if that happens, would we give that medication or perform that procedure to every single criminal that goes to jail? <3,

I think that this is interesting, but I just thought of a very big problem in this "extreme trick." You see, what if all of the wisdom, all of the thought, was located inside the villain's brain? I know that you guys know that it is probably not, but maybe just maybe, the bad person is so bad that his entire brain was focused on making evil. Then after the surgeon made the operation, we would have an adult going WHAAAAAA! And that is a BIG problem.
The other thing is that the criminal's record still holds all of the bad things he's done, and yes, now he us a good guy, but the things he's done don't change. So he will still probably have to serve the punishments.
Overall, I think that this is very interesting, but quite hard to accomplish.

That was kind of interesting. But most humans are not mentally insane, so going through all this trouble to create a safe way to prevent criminal behavior through the brain.

This article is very interesting. I think that it is amazing how we can change how the brain thinks to prevent it from doing evil things. I still don't understand how brain surgery changes the mind. I wonder if this method will be banned because it is very extreme. I wonder what will happen if the doctor messes up the surgery. I think this method is very extreme and very risky.
