The Return of a King

Brought to you by Sabina

This skeleton found beneath a parking lot in England belonged to Richard III, who ruled England in the 15th century. The bones show his curved spine and reveal the injuries that killed him.

This article was interesting, but only told about the results of the science done, not the process. I think it would have been more interesting if the author wrote about how scientists came to the conclusions about his life. Still, the conclusions made were interesting. It is amazing how bones can tell everything from how the person died to what he ate.

SO AWESOME. This was gruesome and awesome at the same time. Poor guy. I wonder how it would feel to get a spine curved into a question mark and a hole through the skull. The skull is supposedly very hard and there was a huge hole in it. That is so weird that he was built under in a cathedral that was underneath a parking lot. Nowadays, our technology can tell a lot about the person. All in all, A++++++++++++++!!

When I was reading this and I read that it was found under a parking lot, my first thought was, why would they look under a parking lot? I was amazed by the injuries on the body. I found this article very interesting.

It's amazing that we were able to find the skeleton, and figure out all this information. Years ago people could only dream of knowing this much.
