I thought that this game was interesting, but a lot longer than the last one. I liked the last one better because you would do most of the research, but in this one, it just told you all of the information and told you to record a bunch of results, while the last one let you figure out everything. I think that it worked better to increase SDF1 because the patient had less complaints and slightly better results. Also, it's probably harder for the people working at the hospital to use bone marrow because it's extra work to take it out and turn it into stem cells, and extra waiting time. Overall, I thought it was interesting to learn about the heart, but they didn't really let you do much.
This game was interesting but took about 50 minutes of my homework time. I thought that it was awesome that two new methods were found that help people with heart failure and heart attacks. The only thin that concerns me is that what if when the wire is put in it hit the aromic wall. That is a huge risk because the patient can bleed to death. Let's talk about the different studies.
1. More SDF1:
This is a cool therapy that personally I think works better than the other therapy because there were better resultes for this therapy than the other therapy although it is probably harder for the doctors to use bone marrow because it takes longer and puts the patient in more pain. It is amazing that so much can be done with just a few operations. The one thing that I would change is the wait between the two operations. This was tested on a Man of an age of 63. He has had three heart attacks and heart failure. I think this is a good patient because compared to the other therapy the tow men only have one difference which is age. In the end this man was better than before and can walk much faster and longer than before. This is a good sign because it shows that he is getting better.
2. Sending a order to make the healing longer:
I think that this was also good but not as good as therapy 1. More SDF1 because the results were worse. It is so cool that a signal to the heart can be injected in to a human. This is a good idea but has some problem. One of the problems is that there is a huge wait time between the two operations.This is a problem because It is painful to sit and wait after a surgery to go into another surgery. The patient that this therapy was tested on was a 71 year old man who has had three heart attacks and heart failure. I think this is a good patient because compared to the other therapy the tow men only have one difference which is age.This patent showed good results but was not as fast at walking and could not walk more than the other patient. This is still a good sign so this could be a back up therapy for a patient if it gets approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Association).
In conclusion I think this was a fun game and I learned a lot. I just wished I was a little bit shorter.I would also like to thank Ms. G for putting this up on the blog.

This game was the best edheads game so far. Thank you Ms. Ghazarian for possibly taking my suggestion and putting a more interesting game on the blog. I agree with Kallie that SDF1 is probably the better way to go. I also agree with Sophia that when it is put into the wall leading to the left ventricle, it can cause you to bleed to death. Really, the bone marrow aspiration can completely ruin someone's hip if it is not done in the correct way. Even patient 1 said that his hip hurt for many days after the procedure. Also, a question, does age affect what happens after the procedure? If, so then how would it work on a 52 year old or an 85 year old? Really, the game should have told us more information about how this affects it. Also, how do the tests really affect them. Though the results are different, could that have anything to do with weight, age, or height? These are major factors that Rich left out in the game. I was glad that his game was more interactive then the last couple of games. I am definitely more interested in heart failure and heart problems, and knowing that there are more ways to cure it is much better than none at all.
I think that these new methods are really interesting. I'd never really wondered about heart attacks and this game made me more interested in the subject. It's pretty cool that a simple operation can save a person's life.

Tell them what they can do to prevent them. We need an educated population. If there wasn't any to fix, we wouldn't need to bother. Personally, this game was good, but a tad long.
I agree with Sammie. There is just too much risk with these methods. It is really dangerous, and as I said before SDF1 is probably a better way to go. People, you know you don't have to listen to all of it, you can click at the top on therapy 1 or therapy 2! So really, it only took 20 minutes for me, instead of 50 for Sophia.
I thought that this game was very interesting and was a good learning tool. They explained the heart and how it works well. Although, they would sometimes use vocabulary that is a little advanced and was not explained before the game. Like the first Edheads game, this one was too long and could have stopped after the last operation. For the actual science in the game, I think these methods are very risky. If a doctor had done something wrong, It would life or death for the patient. It is very dangerous to put plastic tubes and needles inside because is one of them pokes, it could cause the patient to bleed to death. I also think that the images were a little gross. I don't have a problem with a human body, but if a small child would play this they would be grossed out. Overall, a good game but could have been better.
This game was really very cool!!!! I learned the different methods that doctors actually used when they are operating on a patient. I disagree with Bryan, these methods are actually very risky, but they are professionals; they know what they are doing. The odds of something going wrong are very small. But I do agree that the images were a little gross, they were not that gruesome and were just something that a doctor would see every day. Overall, this game was very interesting and intellectual, but not my favorite. P.S thank you Ms. Ghazare-Bear for putting this up. :)
