This was absolutely awesome. He used effects and mechanics to alter what he saw versus what the camera saw. That was almost like a movie with special effects or like green screen. It was such cool illusions, but I think he had the cards in that way before. I mean when he brought the cards that showed what he was explaining, I think that he had arranged the deck before to fit what he was going to say. It was cool never the less and I never thought about a deck of cards that way. I didn't even notice that the fifty two cards could mean the weeks of the year and the total sum of the cards was the number of days in a year. I hadn't even thought about the different seasons and the four symbols on the cards. In conclusion, I think that the trick was amazingly well done and it definitely tricked me.
I thought that is was the coolest thing I have ever saw. It was amazing how he scuffled the cards over and over again but they still always corresponded with what he was saying. I also thought that the machine he made(the prototype) was amazing thought it looked more simple that it seamed. I also wanted to add that I did not notice that the sum of all the cards were three hundred and sixty five. I also did not notice that there were fifty five cards and that there were also fifty five days in a a year. I would really like to see how that is possible. I thought that it was very cool when the voice talked to him. I think I is probably like siree on a iPhone 4s. I never thought of the four seasons in the way of the different symbols on a deck of cards. I thought it was amazing that using just a simple machine and a deck of cards can make a mini movie in moments. I wonder how or if he had the cards in a order or if he did it randomly. I also agree with Ben that that was the most awesome thing I have saw in my life. I wonder how many years that took him to master. In conclusion I think that the video and trick was awesome and I he is offering a class I would be the first on the sign up sheet. P.S. Ben your long paragraph is impressive.
OH MY GOSH! That was AMAZING! This was SUPER cool! I loved how he kept shuffling and everything still went with what he was saying. I agree with both Ben and Sophia. I like how much technology he used. How did he put the marked card down and then somehow switch it out with a different card? How did he make the card go down into the mat? How did he make the cards float? Is this must an optical illusion? It would be awesome to know the answers to these questions. I would want to know what was in the mat, what the mat was made out of, and what was under the mat.
This is amazing totally stunned me! I loved this so much I think the facts that it gave were really awesome like how the 4 suits presented the seasons or that it equaled the number of days in a year. Also I loved the effects he used for winter and how interactive the system was. Maybe some day this dream can be a reality. This must have taken YEARS AND YEARS of practice and science study. I agree with Sophia in the case that is like siree of how it informes you on not only the topic but some extra stuff too. Maybe soon we can develop a technology to make a interactive office or a video game scene. I totally agree with Ben I mean this totally fooled me. Now that I see that is was I tricked I think I know how to do it. This is easy way for students to do the trick. First you take a video of yourself doing the trick then you can use photoshop (or Sam Animation but that might look a little less real) and use the motion tool to make that effect then put it into iMovie and use the green screen tool (this will work as long as your camera in your video is still) to put on top of the video. This is just an educated guess so please don't blame me if this doesn't work.
Within the Magician community what he did was just slight of hand. Slight of hand means you can minipulate the cards without anybody seeing or realizing what you have done, but his slight of hand was AMAZING! I never would have thought the same way about a deck of cards before.
This was a great article! The prototype that the man created was really cool because it created illusions to move cards and defy gravity, or seemingly sink into the table that he was using. The man mixed the illusion of cards and science together using the prototype and the real deck of 52 cards and the sum of the cards is 365. I did not know that this was true until I thought about it. I then realized that it was very possible. This trick tricked me and I cannot figure this out.
WOW. How did he do that? I don't think he arranged it that way, but how else do you explain it? How did he know which card to pick? What were those signs? I have a feeling the mat was somehow connected to the glasses. How did the joker move? Might the first card makers have meant it that way? Maybe they just didn't know how to make the first cards. Then somebody said, "Hey, we can base it on the year!" So they did. It was really cool. He kept shuffling the cards, but they still corresponded to what he was saying. Also, he just picked the top card(s)! Did his glasses have something to do with it? Overall, this was amazing. THANK YOU MS. GHAZARIAN FOR THIS GREAT ARTICLE!
THIS WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER! I think that is was to cool because he combined science and the amazing world of magic into this amazing trick that fooled my mind. It was amazing that through his glasses, he saw things that would never happen in the real world. I agree with Emilynne in which the joker moving and pulling out a pogo stick was pretty childish and funny. I also think that when he pulled out all four aces, it was amazing how every other card was an ace. I do not agree with Finn or Sophia, in which the voice was like Siri on the iPhone 4S. I think this is because he Marcos didn't say anything, and the "Siri" responded just to the images on the cards. It was also really cool that in the end, he was only left with the TED 3 of hearts card. This totally tricked me.
OMG!!! That was so freaky!! My heart is pounding so hard right now! That was super cool but as soon as he brought in supernatural I got super scared! That was so cool I am so speechless. I don't even know how to describe that. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW! That was so cool! How come nobody else has thought of this idea before? Animation and magic might not immediately click, but when actually see them together, it can be pretty awesome. I thought it was really cool especially because he did memorize a speech, but also had the cards correspond with what he was saying, even if he was constantly shuffling them. He also ways picked cards from the top of the deck when he was talking, and there was an excellent animation for nearly every one of them. But probably them interesting thing was that certain characteristics of cards relate to the characteristics of the seasons and other things about science, like when he said that there are fifty cards in a deck, like there are weeks in a year. I don't really remember this part well, but Ben said about the same thing, so I'll say too. Well anyways, when he said that the total sum of all of the cards was 365 and that was also the day of the year, I went a bit crazy. Did the person who came up with the idea playing cards think this through? Is Marco Tempest the first person to discover this? Apparently, the cards also relate to the moon cycle. That's awesome! Overall, this was a very entertaining video to post on the blog.
This is possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen. The technology that has been developed is absolutely amazing. It is extremely cool about how just a deck of cards and technology could be turned into an interesting show. I agree with Nick, I was really interested about how the cards corresponded with what he was saying. I wonder what technology will in the future.
This was absolutely amazing for many reasons!!!!!! I thought that this technology would only exist in 10 or more years but like we were shown now we have the technology. This was the coolest thing i have ever seen by far because I am a person that is very interested in technology and gadgets so this was mind blowing to me. This was a mix of old magic tricks and new modern technology. I just can not express how cool this is without you seeing my facial expression. This by far was the best blog post ever!
That was amazing. I think that it is really cool that a normal deck of cards has to do with the moon, tides, months, years, and seasons. That was really interesting. At the beginning, he said that Google is starting to make glasses that display augmented reality. Is that really true? Could this be the future of all electronics? What would happen to smartphones and video game consoles if they could both be worn on your head? That would make a really cool video game. Also, was that the glasses making the AI sounds or was that a recording? Could sound be included in the futuristic glasses? Although those glasses may seem really cool, they could make life a little too easy, which sounds weird but may be true. Some things that were meant to be hard would be made way too easy. The glasses could induce laziness, and I don't say that to be funny. One more thing: how much would they cost? Being so revolutionary, I would think they would cost a fortune. Overall, this was an amazing video and I learned a lot.
